Laymen's Cup Podcast

The Laymen are four men, who love God first, then their wives and children. We have a deep desire to study God’s Word and to live on mission for him. As we study God’s Word, we love to break it down and discuss it in a way that everyone can understand. We are not scholars, even though some of us wish we were. We are normal men with normal jobs trying to figure out how to Glorify God and live a life on mission for him.

There is a debate going on how we view the Old Testament Stories. Are the stories there to be examples for us to live by, or are they there to point us to Christ? On this Episode, the Laymen weigh in on this debate. Here is a hint, we are all in agreement.

Tonight we were sipping on Historic Noir Coffee out of Atlanta. A good dark strong coffee.

We are revisiting Acts 2, especially doubling down on verse 39. Dr. Chris Griggs is coming in and explaining what we missed the last time we discussed this verse. He shows again that there is no Biblical evidence for Baptizing our babies. #wcfloophole

This is the third installment of our "Why we are Baptist?" Series. In this episode, we ask the question, "Does the Covenant of Redemption exist?" The COR is the idea that in the Trinity, there was a covenant to save his people. What does the Bible say about this, and what does this have to do with being Baptist?
